In addition to miles of sand fringed with beach grass and cooled by salt breezes, Cumberland Island National Seashore is the spot to star-gaze, hike meandering trails, bird-watch and catch cultural sights, all within easy reach of the Landmark Historic District of Jekyll Island, to the north.
We have 11 state Visitor Information Center located throughout Georgia. Nine of our centers are located on our Interstate Highways as you enter Georgia, one center in Sylvania on US Highway 301 and in Plains on US Highway 280. Our centers are open 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM daily for information services. Restrooms are opened daily 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. We do close our centers for these three holidays Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. For more information please contact us at [email protected]
