Treasures from antiquity form the core of the permanent collection at the Michael C Carlos Museum at Emory University, a facility that takes in funerary artifacts from Egypt, sculpture from Greece and Rome, textiles and art from the Ancient Americas as well as a selection of objects,centuries old, from Asia. Those who are more fond of recent history will want to look for photographs, prints and drawings on display from the museum "Works on Paper" holdings and sculpture from 19th and 20th-century Africa.
