South Georgia Technical College's main campus is located in Sumter County, six miles northeast of Americus. The college is 135 miles south of Atlanta, between Highways 19 and 49 on South Georgia Tech Parkway. It has a satellite campus in Cordele. South Georgia Technical College is one of only two technical colleges in Georgia with on-campus housing and a full-service cafeteria.
The college offers more than 90 different associate degree, diploma and short-term technical certificate of credit educational opportunities. The college has approximately 4,400 students enrolled and offers intercollegiate athletics, student clubs and organizations, and career and financial aid services.
