Major Southern metropolitan center, Atlanta, has come a long way in the last century, now a sprawling urban hub home to several universities, an expansive list of cultural sights and a well-rounded range of boutiques, bars and eateries.
This trail follows an old roadbed from Brasstown Bald
through the Brasstown Wilderness to the National Forest
boundary approximately 1 mile south of Young Harris.

NOTE: There is a parking fee. Walk up the mountain on
the paved trail that begins between the food concession
building and the log cabin. The trail soon comes to a dirt
road. Turn right on this road, and you will be on the Wagon
Train Trail.
