Major Southern metropolitan center, Atlanta, has come a long way in the last century, now a sprawling urban hub home to several universities, an expansive list of cultural sights and a well-rounded range of boutiques, bars and eateries.
This trail forms a loop beginning and ending in Vogel State
Park. Length includes an optional side trail to an overlook
offering a panoramic view of the park and lake. The trail
is located on a combination of old roadbeds and constructed
trail. It is well marked with orange blazes. However, the
blazes are spaced more widely apart on the part of the trail
that is within the Blood Mountain Wilderness than on the
part outside the wilderness.
