Description

The William Daniell House is believed to be the oldest house in Oconee County built around 1790 by William Daniell. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is located on the original site, which is believed to be part of a land grant to William Daniell, made because of his Revolutionary War service. The house maintains its Plantation Plain type structure & preservationists believe that it is a gem. The house was constructed as the center of an active agricultural property. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house was restored, refurbished and returned to its original structure and is now used for weddings, receptions, family reunions, business meetings, educational exhibits & various meetings & fuctions hosted by Oconee County.
